Two islets of about 8 ha in all, 1,100 m off Malendure beach in Bouillante, in the middle of the cœur marin of the Parc national de la Guadeloupe known as the Réserve Cousteau. Mooring buoys only.

Approach and anchoring
A sandy channel about 30 m wide separates the two islets, elsewhere the bottom drops away steeply. Anchoring is banned in the cœur, which runs about 981 ha from Pointe Mahault to Pointe à Lézard: boats may only stop on the Park's moorings. Under 5 knots within 300 m of the shore.
Practical
14 buoys around the islets: 11 pink ones for dive and tour operators up to 20 m and 3 white ones for private boats up to 8 m. Free according to Navily. Fishing is banned in the cœur. Larger boats stay off Malendure beach, 0.5 nm east.
History
In 1974 Jacques-Yves Cousteau wrote in support of protecting the site for the richness of its sea bed, and dive clubs have called it the Réserve Cousteau ever since. The waters became a cœur of the national park in 2009.
Story
A bust of Cousteau was sunk in his honour at 12 m and can be seen on a dive around the islets.
