Approach and anchoring
Open to the west. Part of the waters around Malendure lies in the 981 ha cœur marin of the Parc national, where boats may only stop on the Park's moorings: check its limits on the chart or the Nav&Co app before dropping the hook. In July 2026 Bouillante laid the first eco-moorings of its mooring zone at Malendure, inside which anchoring off the moorings is to be banned.

Pontoon used by the dive centres on the beach. No water or fuel.

Dive centres on Malendure beach run trips to the Îlets Pigeon. Jacques-Yves Cousteau stayed at Malendure often from 1959.
