Approach and anchoring
Open approach from the SE. Yellow buoys ring a 5 knot zone about 500 m off the beach, with a marked channel in. Drop on sand in 3 to 7 metres; holding is patchy where the sand lies thin over rock, so pick a clear sand patch. Watch a rock that rises to about 1.5 to 2 m near the buoys. Sheltered from NW, N, NE and W winds, exposed to easterly and SE swell, with little room for keelboats.
Practical
Forain mooring. Port of Porto-Vecchio lies 2.9 nm to the N with fuel, water and provisioning, and the Marine Group yard is 3 nm N for repairs.
Ashore
Sand beach backed by dunes and maritime pines, rare on this stretch of the Corsican coast, with a beach restaurant. Little else ashore and no provisioning at the anchorage.
