Approach and anchoring

Sand patches lie among seagrass, so arrive in daylight to find one. The northern part has sand in 5 to 7 m. Rocks, concrete blocks and old mooring blocks lie on the bottom. Shelter is good from winds of 240 to 330 degrees. The cove sheltered a boat in a 25 kn maestrale in July 2025. A 2 m westerly swell made it a bit rolly in May 2025. Anchoring is not possible at the south end, in front of the resort.

Practical

The bay lies in the Capo Testa Punta Falcone marine protected area. Anchoring needs online registration and payment, and the form asks for an Italian tax code. In 2024 the fee was 5 euros a day under 12 m and 30 euros over 12 m. A white mooring buoy was charged 100 euros in June 2026. A patrol in a motor dinghy checked anchors and handed out the rules in July 2025.

Ashore

Dinghies can land on the beach. The resort above the bay had a restaurant and a small grocery in 2024. Music from the resort carried until midnight in July 2025. Footpaths lead out to Punta Falcone. There is snorkelling around the boulders to the north.
