Bay near Santa Teresa Gallura in northern Sardinia, inside the Capo Testa Punta Falcone marine protected area. Six mooring buoys in the south-east part, over sand, rock and weed. Exposed to the north.

Approach and anchoring

Anchoring requires authorisation from the marine protected area, and in August 2025 only the buoys could be used. In July 2025 the buoys had a sharp stainless disc above the ring that can cut a mooring line, so use a strong one. Swell from the NE can enter at night. Light grey weed on flat rocks can look like sand. Check the anchor by snorkelling.

Practical

Register and pay on the marine protected area website. It gives no booking confirmation. In July 2025 an attendant came by dinghy around 9.30 am with instructions for paying. That month the buoys were quoted at 50 euros a night. In August 2025 a buoy cost 100 euros for a boat over 12 m. Leaving dinghies on the beach was forbidden in 2023. A village is about 2 km away. A bus runs to Santa Teresa.

Ashore

Footpaths run around Capo Testa. The other side of the bay is reached by crossing the road. Rock formations at the bottom of the bay hold a colony of stingrays. The beach has an ice cream kiosk.
