Approach and anchoring
Depths are mostly around 3 m, shoaling quickly towards the beach, and the sounder read less than charted in 2020. The mud holds well once the anchor is set, but weed can stop it biting. In 2023 one boat dragged three times in 40 kn, while another held through a 35 kn maestrale close inshore. In June 2026 one boat anchored in 3 m off the river mouth while all the others lay on mooring buoys.
Practical
Dinghies tie up at the southernmost jetty, with sorted waste bins beside it. Porto Pozzo is reached by dinghy, and its supermarket is about 600 m from the harbour. The town has restaurants, bars and ice cream shops, with buses to Santa Teresa and Olbia.
