Approach and anchoring

The marina is modern and well sheltered, with high floating pontoons that are easy to board and an entrance gate under camera surveillance. The harbour master takes lines and speaks several languages. Registration is through the i-Marina app, scanning a QR code at the berth to pay online; take care to select Zeebrugge rather than Brugge.

Practical

Expect around 34 to 35 euros a night for an 11 metre boat. The toilets, showers and laundry are new and clean. Two mini-markets and a chandlery lie about 500 metres away and a Carrefour is within walking distance, though the shops shut around 6pm. Fuel is on site.

Ashore

The restaurant Zonder Naam is well liked for its burgers and tapas, and the Werftje is highly rated but pricey. The setting is largely port and industrial, and quiet out of season. The beach is about 1.5 kilometres away, and a train reaches Bruges in around 20 minutes for a few euros.
