Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the golfe de Saint-Florent with the desert des Agriates to the W. Drop on sand in 3 to 6 m, watch for Posidonia patches and prefer clear sand to protect the meadows. Well sheltered from E and SE, exposed to the libeccio from the W; shift to Saint-Florent if the wind builds.
Practical
Forain anchorage, no services. Saint-Florent harbour 3 NM to the SW with fuel, water and all stores; Port privé Mare e Stagnu 3,3 NM to the SW.
Ashore
The beach is part of the Agriates coastal strip, accessible only by boat or by the sentier du littoral from Saint-Florent, about 10 km on foot. Landing by tender means hauling over a bank of dead Posidonia up to knee height at the top of the beach, so come in under oars. Natura 2000 zone on the Agriates coast, maquis and dune habitat.
