Approach and anchoring

Approach from the west. Anchoring is banned here from 1 March to 31 July under the local reserve regulation, so it is a stop only outside those dates. Holding is variable over the weed, so drop on the clear sand and check the set. Île Dumet is a classified bird reserve with landing regulated, and it draws a crowd of small motorboats by day that thins in the evening. Refuges on the mainland: Piriac-sur-Mer 3.8 NM SE and Port de Lérat 4.6 NM SE.
