Approach and anchoring
Approach from the west in open water. Drop the hook on sand in 5 to 10 m, where holding is reliable. Shelter from NW, N, NE, E and SE, but the bay is open to the W and SW and a westerly swell rolls in even in calm, so boats set a stern anchor for the night. It becomes untenable when the libeccio sets in. Land a dinghy through the marked channel in the 300 m swim-zone buoys.
Practical
No services on the mooring. Water and a small harbour at Cargèse 2.2 nm to the south, Port de Sagone 5.6 nm to the south-east.
Ashore
Plage de Chiuni, about 1 km of sand where horses are ridden along the shore and into the water. The former Club Med at the north end now stands abandoned. Footpath over the headland towards Plage de Peru to the south.
