Guide
Approach and anchoring
In August 2024 a yacht anchored on sand in 8 m just outside the orange buoys off the pier, about 300 m from shore. In 2022 a yacht anchored in 5 to 7 m beyond the 300 m line, about 100 m off the pier. The anchorage is open, but a swell of 0.2 to 0.25 m was comfortable in August 2024.
Practical
Dinghies can tie up under the pier, which leads straight into the town centre. In 2023 anglers lined its end, and a dinghy had to row round their lines at the edge of the bathing area. Divers were numerous around the pier in 2022.
