Guide
Approach and anchoring
Good holding in sand at 6 m, with clear water. Capo Mele shelters from westerly and northerly waves. In 2023 a venturi effect made a boat swing about in 8 to 12 kn of westerly while its anchor held. A swell can make the anchorage roll at night.
Practical
Dinghies land on the beach, which is lined with several lidos. In summer a disco near the shore plays loud music late into the night, sometimes in the afternoon too. In August 2025 it went on until 04:00. The anchorage fills with day boats on summer days and empties in the evening.
