Approach and anchoring
Reached from the East River through the Whitestone area into Flushing Bay, off the LaGuardia Airport runways. Pier 1 is closed for a major NYC Parks reconstruction project and has no dockage available. Contact the dockmaster on VHF 71 or 718-478-0480 before approaching.
Practical
Operated by the Marine Division of NYC Parks. With Pier 1 shut, berthing falls to the main marina basin nearby. Limited transient dockage for small craft is subject to the dockmaster's office.
