Approach and anchoring
The mooring field lies in the channel between City Island and Hart Island, sheltered from open water. A daily launch service runs boaters between the moorings and the yard.
Practical
Moorings, plus fresh water and shore power on the docks. Over two acres of hard standing and indoor storage for boats up to 50 feet. The yard handles fibreglass repair, gelcoat work, wooden boat restoration, paint and antifouling, engine and electrical work, and winter storage. Harbour master on 718 885-9802.
History
John Barron Sr started the business on City Island in 1934 as a rowing boat hire operation.
