Sheltered from the north-east through south-east, open to the western quarter. The mooring field sits at the head of Eastchester Bay, fringed by the City Island yacht clubs. Fresh water is available ashore.

Morris Yacht and Beach Club lies on the north shore at the mooring field. City Island Yacht Club is 0.3 miles north-west. Guest moorings can be arranged through the clubs; chandlery and boatyards are within City Island.
History
City Island has been a yachting and boatbuilding centre since the 19th century, and the clubs on Eastchester Bay are among the oldest sailing institutions in the United States.
