Approach and anchoring
Big Timber Creek runs off the Delaware River at Horseshoe Bend, marked by buoy 2 off Gloucester City. About 5ft can be carried up the creek and the bridges clear under 8ft, limiting access to low-air-draught craft.
Practical
A private power boat club with member berths and a launching ramp, not a transient marina. The club belongs to the Delaware River Yachtsmen's League.
History
The association was founded in 1908 and is a member of the Delaware River Yachtsmen's League, formed in 1914. Big Timber Creek itself carries Lenape and Revolutionary War history along its banks.
