Guide
Approach and anchoring
Anchor outside the channel between markers 149 and 151, in charted depths of about 7 to 8 feet over sand and mud. The river is wide enough to anchor on either side depending on the wind. The setting is low and open, with little shelter from the holding alone.
Practical
Coinjock Marina, with fuel and a restaurant, lies about 5.5 nm to the north. Frog Island Marina is 9.9 nm to the south-west. Expect biting insects at dusk in still weather, so fit companionway screens.
