Approach and anchoring
The North River carries the ICW between Currituck Sound and Albemarle Sound. The anchorage takes shelter from most of the compass apart from a narrow gap at the SE. Mud holding. Watch the river edges, which shoal away from the marked channel.
Practical
Open anchorage with no facilities. Coinjock Marina lies 3.6 miles north at ICW Mile 50 for fuel, water and provisions, and Lamb's Marina is 10.2 miles to the west.
