Approach and anchoring
Sand bottom mixed with rock, so set the anchor clear of coral and check it holds. The site shelters from the north quadrant only and stays fully exposed to the south swell.
Practical
No facilities at the anchorage. Kewalo Basin Harbour lies 0.4 miles east and Waikiki Yacht Club 1.3 miles east for berths and services.
Ashore
The Waikiki Marine Life Conservation District runs along the shore east of the beach, where anchoring on the reef is restricted to protect the coral and seagrass.
