Anchorage on the Tolomato River near St Augustine, Florida, just off the Intracoastal Waterway on a sand bottom.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Lies a short way inside the St Augustine Inlet, less than one mile from the Atlantic. The inlet itself carries strong currents and shifting shoals along the north side of the channel, so time the approach with care and avoid wind against tide. Hold well clear of the marked ICW channel when bringing up.
Practical
Sand bottom with the anchorage open to the east, south-west and west. Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor sits 0.2 nm to the south-west with fuel, water and a boatyard. St Augustine Municipal Marina lies 1.7 nm south.
