Guide
Approach and anchoring
Lies along the Intracoastal Waterway. Sand bottom with good holding, though the river runs a strong tidal current. Shoals shift constantly where the Tolomato meets the St Augustine Inlet, so keep to the marked channel on approach.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Camachee Cove Yacht Harbour is 0.5 mile to the north-west with fuel and repair facilities, and St Augustine Municipal Marina lies 1.3 miles to the south.
Ashore
The historic centre of St Augustine, the oldest continuously occupied European settlement in the United States, is within reach by tender or a short trip down the ICW. The Castillo de San Marcos fort stands on the bayfront.
