Approach and anchoring
The marina lies on Matanzas Bay beside the Bridge of Lions. The bascule bridge stands by on VHF 09 and opens on the hour and half hour from 07:00 to 18:00, with no openings at 08:00, noon or 17:00 on weekdays. Monitor VHF 16. Slips take vessels up to 200 ft.
Practical
Staff are on duty 24 hours a day. There is a fuel dock with petrol and diesel, a bathhouse with showers and laundry, dinghy docks and a pump-out boat. The mooring fee includes a water taxi out to the boat.
Ashore
The marina sits at the edge of the old town. The Castillo de San Marcos, completed in 1695, is a 10-minute walk north along the seawall. St. George Street, the pedestrian colonial quarter, runs inland from the bridge.
