Approach and anchoring

Reached from the Intracoastal Waterway, with the moorings set behind Fritz Island and screened by tall trees that cut the wind. The corridor past the marina is a slow-speed, minimum-wake zone. The northern part of the field is the quietest; the southern moorings catch some wake and bridge noise. VHF channel 72.

Practical

108 wet berths and 57 moorings, with a dinghy dock and a captains' lounge. Petrol, diesel and a pump-out are dispensed from a 70-foot fuel berth. Showers, laundry, mail drop, free wifi and a free town bus service. Berths and moorings are let by the day, week or month.

Ashore

The free city bus runs to shops and supermarkets in town. A waterfront park beside the marina has picnic shelters and barbecues. Suntex Marina and Loggerhead Marina lie about 2.4 miles to the north-west.
