Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from the Atlantic through the Fort Pierce Inlet, an all-weather inlet, then up the lagoon along the Intracoastal Waterway. Currents run strongly through the anchorage, so allow more swinging room than usual between boats.
Practical
Dockside Marina and Resort lies 1.2 miles south-east and Riverside Marina 1.3 miles west. The Fort Pierce City Marina, owned by the city, has fuel and visitor berths a short distance away.
Ashore
Fort Pierce town centre and its shops sit close to the City Marina. The lagoon's spoil islands, reached by tender, are used for diving, snorkelling and fishing.
