Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north in settled weather. Sand bottom gives good holding. Protection from N, NE and E winds. Exposed to S and W, leave before any southerly swell builds.
Practical
No services on site. Port de Saint-Gildas 1 NM to the N for shelter and a small harbour if the wind shifts. Port de l'Argol 3.7 NM SE on Hoedic as a fallback.
Ashore
White sand beach at the head of the cove. Footpaths cross Houat island to the village and the Tréac'h er Gourhed dune on the south shore.
