Private yacht club on Little Traverse Bay at Harbor Springs, Michigan, with 62 berths, some covered. Access is reserved to members and their guests.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Harbour Springs sits on the deepest natural harbour of the Great Lakes, with depths reaching 170 feet out in Little Traverse Bay, so deep-draught yachts come alongside without tidal constraint. Lake Michigan has no tide. The Boathouse lies on the east side of the harbour, with Little Traverse Yacht Club just 0.2 nm to the east.
Practical
The 62 berths split between covered and open pontoons. Membership is required to use the club and its facilities, contactable on 231 526-0800. Visiting yachts without a member host should head for the City Marina on Zoll Street, which keeps 44 transient berths with water, 30 and 50 amp shore power, showers and a pump-out.
