- Harbour
Private yacht club marina on Little Traverse Bay, west of Petoskey on the Lake Michigan shore of northern Michigan.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from Little Traverse Bay, an open inlet of Lake Michigan with no tidal range. The harbour is sheltered behind a breakwater and holds deep water at the docks. Transient and seasonal berths are booked through the harbourmaster on 231 439 2544 or via Dockwa.
Practical
Over 100 floating berths, taking vessels up to 185 feet. No fuel berth on site, the nearest fuel is at Petoskey City Marina about 3 miles to the east. The Village of Bay Harbor sits beside the docks with shops, dining and a ship's store.
Ashore
The Village of Bay Harbor lines the waterfront with boutiques, restaurants and a marina shop within walking distance of the berths. Petoskey town centre is around 3 miles east for fuller provisioning.
