Tree-lined anchorage on Lake Charlevoix in Michigan, just outside the town of Charlevoix, with depths of 8 to 12 feet over mud.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from Lake Michigan through the channel at Charlevoix, then across Round Lake into Lake Charlevoix. Mud bottom gives good holding. The bay is open to the south, so it is best used in settled weather or northerly winds.
Practical
No facilities at the anchorage and no public landing, as the shore is private. Northwest Marine Yacht Club and Charlevoix Yacht Club lie about 1.8 nautical miles to the south-west for fuel and provisions.
