Approach and anchoring
On the ICW at mile 309, marker 2A. About 1.5 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and well placed for both the river and the waterway. Floating docks throughout. VHF working channel used by the harbour office.
Practical
Wet berths for yachts up to 130 feet plus dry storage for smaller boats. Fresh water and 30, 50 and 100 amp shore power. Fuel berth around 330 feet long for diesel and petrol. Showers, toilets and laundry on site, with Wi-Fi.
Ashore
Southport's historic centre is a short walk away, with waterfront shops and restaurants. The town is on the National Register of Historic Places and hosts the official North Carolina Fourth of July celebration.
