Approach and anchoring

Dutchman Creek opens off the ICW above the Cape Fear River, with access from the waterway at low water. The creek banks give all-round protection. The Southport channel lies about 6 nm down the waterway.

Practical

Anchoring on mud in an open cove used by sailing boats. Safe Harbor South Harbour Village marina is 0.2 nm SW with fuel and full services; Indigo Plantation Marina is 1.2 nm E. A public boat ramp with courtesy docks sits on the creek.
