Approach and anchoring

Reached from the Shinnecock Canal, a 4,700 ft cut that links Great Peconic Bay to Shinnecock Bay and the Atlantic. The canal lock at the south end controls the tidal flow, so check the gate schedule before transiting. Approach depth on the canal is around 10 ft.

Practical

Berths for yachts up to roughly 47 ft. Water and shore power on the pontoons, restrooms and showers ashore, and a free sewage pump-out. Two boatyards lie within half a nautical mile: Modern Yachts to the SW with a travel lift and fuel berth, Mariner's Cove Marine to the S.
