Approach and anchoring
Entered from Shinnecock Bay through the creek inside the Ponquogue Bridge. The Atlantic is reached via Shinnecock Inlet, the only major south-shore inlet on this part of Long Island and busy through the summer.
Practical
75 floating berths with finger pontoons, water and shore power, for boats up to 45 ft. Renovated facilities with showers, on-site parking, picnic areas and barbecues. A 55-ton travel lift handles boats up to 65 ft, with winter storage ashore for 120 boats.
Ashore
Ocean beaches on the Atlantic barrier strip are within walking distance, along with restaurants in Hampton Bays. The Old Ponquogue Bridge Marine Park, with calm-water swimming and a fishing pier, sits just east on Shinnecock Bay.
