Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from Long Island Sound through the dredged Stamford Harbour channel, which runs north between two breakwaters before splitting into the East and West Branches. Berths sit behind the hurricane barrier on the West Branch. Approach by day; the entrance channel carries good depth but is busy with traffic in season.
Practical
Shore power at 110V/30A and 220V/50A, fresh water and Wi-Fi at the berths, and fuel on site. Tennis courts within the grounds. Kayaks and paddleboards for hire at the beach close by. Restaurants and the centre of Stamford are within walking distance.
Ashore
Cummings Park beach is a short walk from the marina, with a swimming area and waterfront paths. Downtown Stamford, with shops, restaurants and the Metro-North station for trains to New York, is about 2 miles inland.
