Approach and anchoring
Enter Stamford Harbour through the dredged channel from Long Island Sound between two breakwaters, then take the West Branch. Channel depth is about 4.5 metres up to the junction. The harbour sits behind the hurricane barrier, whose 27 metre gated opening stays open in fair weather. Barrier Operations work VHF 13.
Practical
Floating pontoons take vessels up to 30 metres. Annual and visitor berths, shore power, restrooms, showers, laundry and ice. No clubhouse. Office on 203 977 8772.
