Guide
Approach and anchoring
Westcott Cove lies east of the main Stamford Harbour entrance, off Long Island Sound. The cove is reached on its own approach and is open to the south-west; the dock area carries around 14 feet of water. Visiting boats book ahead through the club.
Practical
Shore power at most berths in 30A, 50A and 100A, fresh water hook-ups and complimentary Wi-Fi. Clubhouse with dining and showers, reserved for members and their guests.
History
The club was founded on 16 October 1890 and held its first race in August 1893, a 25-mile course from Shippan Point to Matinnecock Point and Eaton's Neck. It is the starting point of the Vineyard Race, run every Labor Day weekend since 1932.
