Small-boat marina inside Cove Island Park, an 83-acre park on Long Island Sound at the Cove section of Stamford, Connecticut.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
The entrance is very shallow at low water. The marina takes boats up to 28 feet and a permit from the City of Stamford is required.
Practical
Dockside service is fresh water only, with no shore power. A boat launching ramp adjoins the marina.
Ashore
The park has two sandy beaches, a one-mile walking and running trail, a cycling path and a playground. The salt marsh and intertidal mudflats around Holly Pond and the Cove River draw wading birds and waterfowl.
