Approach and anchoring
Entered from the York River through Back Creek, which is sheltered behind Goodwin Island. The marina channel and berthing area are dredged to a minimum of about 5ft.
Practical
Roughly 52 berths over two main piers, mostly for members, with visitor space at the pier ends. The club runs sailing classes and holds member events including oyster roasts.
History
The club moved to its five-acre Back Creek site, bought in 1983, dredged the basin in 1989 and added a 24-berth pier in 1996.
