Approach and anchoring
On the Bohemia River off the Elk River, close to the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal and the upper Chesapeake. Open water around the basin, with a sandy beach along its shore.
Practical
Fuel berth with petrol, pump-out, and a dock store carrying ice, drinks and marine supplies. Berths with fresh water and unmetered 30 A shore power. On-site mechanics for inboard and outboard engines, plus cleaning, painting and winterising. Renovated air-conditioned heads and showers for berth holders.
History
The basin was founded in 1956 by John and Betty Wimbrow and has stayed in family ownership since.
