Approach and anchoring
Open Mediterranean approach from the south. Mixed sand and mud bottom, holding variable with patches of weed. Shelter from NW, N, W and SW winds; open to NE, E, S and SE, where the sea builds quickly under a marin wind.
Practical
Frontignan plage 1 NM NE for the summer beach village. Port de Frontignan 1.2 NM N, 660 berths, reached through the canal du Rhône à Sète lock. Water, fuel and a boatyard at the port.
Ashore
Frontignan town, 1.5 km inland, is the home of the Muscat de Frontignan AOC, a fortified sweet white wine documented since the Middle Ages. Wineries and tasting cellars open in the town centre. Cycle path along the lido between the sea and the étang d'Ingril.
