Approach and anchoring
Reached from Pine Island Sound, with about 4.5 metres of water on the approach and 7.0 metres alongside. Berths take vessels up to 38 feet. Two transient berths; call ahead on VHF channel 16. A two-lane boat ramp serves trailered boats.
Practical
Thirty berths in total, with fuel, fresh water and shore power. The Ship's Store covers last-minute provisions, and Bob and Annie's Boatyard handles repairs and haul-out. A water taxi runs to Cabbage Key and Upper Captiva.
Ashore
The Randell Research Center adjoins the marina on Waterfront Drive. Its Calusa Heritage Trail runs 0.7 miles through Calusa shell mounds and canals, part of a settlement occupied for over 1,500 years and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
