Approach and anchoring

Direct entry from Chesapeake Bay through a short marked channel, with no long creek or river to navigate. Maximum draught 1.5 m at the entrance. Easy access in most weather from the bay.

120 berths for transient, seasonal or annual dockage. Pontoon and skiff hire on site. Fish-cleaning stations, restaurants, game room and spa within the resort complex.

Ashore

Chesapeake Beach Boardwalk and public beach within walking distance. North Beach commercial strip at 1 km north, with restaurants and shops along Bay Avenue.

History

Chesapeake Beach was founded in 1894 as a Victorian-era seaside resort served by a railway from Washington DC. The Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum, in the original 1898 station, sits 500 m from the marina.
