Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Chesapeake Bay via Herring Bay, just north of Chesapeake Beach. The entrance is buoyed and straightforward in daylight. The site lies 2.1 nm north of Chesapeake Beach and 2.8 nm south of Town Point Marina.
Practical
Over 600 wet berths, full-service boatyard with travel lift, fuel berth with petrol and diesel, pump-out, water and shore power. Lodging, restaurants, a private beach, swimming pool, tennis courts and a playground on site. Maryland Clean Marina certified.
History
Herrington Harbour South was founded by E. Lee Herrington in 1979 with 50 slips and expanded to its current size over the following decades.
