Approach and anchoring

The dredged and jettied harbour entrance is marked between channel markers 12 and 14. Holding is good in mud. Swan Creek, just north of the town, offers more enclosed shelter when wind is forecast. Rock Hall lies within a daysail of much of the upper Bay, 16 nm from Annapolis and 18 nm from Baltimore.

Practical

Visiting boats may tie up at the public bulkhead in Rock Hall Harbour, where fresh water is available. Haven Harbor South is 1.3 nm to the SE and Tolchester Marina 3.7 nm to the N. More than a dozen marinas and boatyards line the village peninsula, with shops and provisions a short walk from the harbour.
