Approach and anchoring
Willoughby Bay sits where the Intracoastal Waterway meets the Chesapeake Bay, off Hampton Roads near the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. Berths for power and sailing boats, with a maximum draught of about 3 metres.

Berths for residents and transients year-round, plus a fuel berth and a ships store. Full-service boatyard with a 50-ton and a 25-ton lift for haul-out and repairs.
History
Lane Briggs bought a salvage tug here in 1974 and the next year rigged it as a schooner. That Tugantine led him to found the Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race.
