Approach and anchoring
Anchoring is forbidden here under the ZMEL and port regulations of Île Rousse. The zone covers the approach to the commercial and ferry quay of Île Rousse 0.1 NM to the east. Sand and posidonia beds, the latter being the main reason for the prohibition. Winds from NE, E, SW, S and SE are blocked by the peninsula and the Île de la Pietra.
Practical
No anchoring permitted. Visitor berths are at the port of Île Rousse on the east side of the Île de la Pietra, or at Port Eugène Ceccaldi at Algajola 5.1 NM to the SW. Water available at the main quay of Île Rousse.
