Guide

Approach and anchoring

Approach from the west into the Gulf of Valinco, leaving the Scoglio Longo rock to starboard. Entrance marked by red and green lit pier heads. Maximum draught 5 m, suitable for larger yachts. Exposure to westerly swell inside the gulf when libeccio blows. VHF 9 for the harbour office.

Practical

211 berths, fuel station on the pontoon. Water and electricity on pontoons, sanitary blocks with showers. Diving centre on the quay. Restaurants and a small grocery in the hamlet of Porto Pollo. Propriano 5.2 NM E for full provisioning.

Ashore

Sandy beach of Porto Pollo runs immediately west of the port. Scoglio Longo and Capu di Muro dive sites reached by club boats. Prehistoric site of Filitosa with its carved menhir-statues 12 km inland by road. Sartène and its Pisan-era granite houses 20 km south.
