Approach and anchoring

Enter the bay from the south, rounding the Punta di Porto Pollo headland. Pick up a visitor buoy rather than anchoring on the Posidonia seagrass which is protected and holds poorly. Shelter holds from N, NE, NW, W and E; the bay opens to the S and SW swell.

Practical

124 buoys managed by the local mooring field operator, payable on site. Village of Porto Pollo 0.4 nm to the W with small shops, restaurants and a dive centre. Port de Propriano 4.9 nm SE for fuel, water, electricity and full marina services.

Ashore

Beach of Cupabia 2 km west by coastal path, sandy and shallow. Dive sites on the Cauro reef and Pointe de Porto Pollo reached from the village base. Prehistoric site of Filitosa 8 km inland by road, with menhir statues from the 2nd millennium BC.
