Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Pacific through the southern entrance of King Harbor, behind the breakwater built in 1958 and extended in 1966. The harbour gives direct ocean access and a short crossing to Catalina Island.
Practical
336 berths from 25 to 40 ft plus end ties from 56 to 81 ft. Shore power and water at each berth, showers and toilets, Wi-Fi, gated access, dock carts, free parking. Fuel berth and pump-out in the harbour. Home to Port Royal Yacht Club.
Ashore
Redondo Beach Pier and the Strand bike path at 600 m, with restaurants and shops. King Harbor Breakwall scuba site on the outside of the breakwater, known for sand bass and resident sea lions.
