Inland marina of about 750 berths at Mandelieu-la-Napoule, west of Cannes, reached through a channel off the Bay of La Napoule.

Guide

Approach and anchoring

Access from the Bay of La Napoule through the Siagne river mouth and an inland channel running inland to the marina basins. Limited clearance under road bridges on the inner canals, mast-up transit restricted to certain basins. Entry prudently at low swell due to a narrow approach.

Practical

Around 750 berths with water and electricity. Fallback nearby at Marina Parc 0.2 nm W and Port Privé Marco Polo 0.2 nm SW, both in the same inland network. Shops and restaurants along the quays of Mandelieu.

Ashore

Château de la Napoule at about 1.5 km, open for guided tours of the Henry Clews gardens. Beach of La Napoule along the bay. Massif de l'Estérel red rhyolite footpaths start at about 3 km, including the GR 51 Balcons de la Méditerranée.

History

Mandelieu-la-Napoule grew around the medieval Château de la Napoule, restored in the 1920s by the American sculptor Henry Clews and his wife Marie. The inland marina network was dug in the 1970s as part of the development of the Siagne plain into a residential marina district.
