Approach and anchoring
Approach from the SE through the Golfe Juan, between the mainland and the Îles de Lérins. Entrance between two jetties with lights. Shelter is good from N and E winds, exposed to the SW which sends swell across the bay. Max draught 2.9 m. VHF 9.
Practical
436 berths with water and electricity. Fuel berth on site with diesel and petrol. Sanitary block with showers. Juan-les-Pins centre, shops and restaurants at 400 m. Port du Croûton 0.2 NM to the SE, Port de la Salis 0.8 NM to the NE.
Ashore
Pine-lined seafront of Juan-les-Pins and sandy beach along boulevard Edouard Baudoin at 300 m. Path around Cap d'Antibes starting from the Garoupe beach at 2 km. Antibes old town and Picasso museum in the Grimaldi castle at 3 km by road.
History
Juan-les-Pins developed as a resort from the 1880s and became a jazz destination after Sidney Bechet settled there in the 1950s. The Jazz à Juan festival has been held each July under the pine trees since 1960.
